Shadow Creatures and Demon Heirarchy

Shadow Guard-Weakest enemy, takes on human form

Shadow Spirit-Stronger, takes on form of animal or creature of some kind. Lots of different varities.

Lesser/Greater Shades-Demons that have taken possesion of a living human. Depending on the strength of the human will factor whether or not it is a Lesser or Greater.

Abominations-A demon who has posses a living user of magic. Because the Mage is alive at the time, the demon cannot access the mage's spells, and is therefore a physical attacker.

Ash Wraith-A stronger version of a shade. His body is made up of the ashes of burnt corpses, blood, mold or bones.

Arcane Horror-A demon who has possessed a dead Mage, and therefore has access to all magic spells and attacks the mage could use while living.

Revenant-A demon posessing multiple dead warriors, infusing it with extra strength.

Demon Heirarchy From Strongest to Weakest. The stronger and more complex the emotion, the stronger the demon.
